Gary has been
photographing our natural world since 1980. His interest in photography started
as a result of his hunting and fishing as a young boy growing up in rural
Guilford County, North Carolina. Those early years instilled a love of the
outdoors and nature in Gary and he has continued to pursue that love by looking
through the camera lens and sharing the beauty he sees with his photography. He
has been published in numerous books, brochures, calendars, business reports and
magazines. He sells his images through photo stock agencies and they are
available for individual sales to the public by contacting him.
Gary has developed an area of three plus acres at his home for photographing
songbirds and wildlife and offers photo weekends for other photographers. The
photographic areas have been designed, as he describes them, “by a nature
photographer for nature photographers. The National Wildlife Federation has
certified the area as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat.
Gary is a
charter member of the North American Nature Photographers Association and is a
member of the Carolina Nature Photographers Association.
Gary’s desire in photographing nature is to share the beauty of God’s world all
around us and to preserve and document this beauty for future generations.
